The War
Whose war is this and why? Why are our young men and women dieing? Why are their young men and women dieing? What did they all do to deserve death like that? If they are not dead then they are injured. What kind of life will they have now? When will this stop? Why does it seem like it is up to one man? Please remind me, why are we still there?
Who knows the definition of terrorism? I looked it up in the Britannica. The systematic use of violence to create a general climate of fear in a population and thereby to bring about a particular political objective. Terrorism involves the use or threat of violence and seeks to create fear, not just within the direct victims but among a wide audience. The degree to which it relies on fear distinguishes terrorism from both conventional and guerrilla warfare.
On the T.V. show The View, there was a hot discussion. People were saying that Rosie called our troops terrorists. I say she did not. If you were living in that country what would be your answer? Hmmmmm..... America is great! We have things other countries do not. But who do we think we are? Meaning WE as a country. We are not God, we are not the rulers of the world. We should help those in trouble and in need. We are not better than anyone else. What does this teach our children? Does it teach that if you have more money and power push the weaker around? When this all started I was all for going there and helping them to be free from a horrible man who was there leader. They are free now from him. Why are we still there? Do we think that they can not take care of their own country? Why do we think we are superior?
When this all started I was more or less for it. I listened to President Bush. He had me believing that we needed to do this. Why do we still need to be there? I think he has made some mistakes, why can't he admit that he has? Why can't he allow others to help him get us out of this? He is human, and we all know humans make mistakes.
